Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said on Friday (January 19) he expects Alexis Sanchez, a long-time target for City, to join rivals Manchester United, and wished both parties good luck.

Guardiola's side have been linked with a move for the Arsenal talisman over the last few months and it is believed City had a bid of £60 million turned down for the Chilean in the summer.

Having entered into the final year of his contract, Arsenal were keen to accept an offer for their star man this month, rather than letting the player leave for free in the summer.

Guardiola who managed Sanchez at Barcelona, says he does not feel he has been snubbed by the player and maintains his opinion of the player has not changed.
