Award-winning star Michelle Yeoh visited a panda base in China’s southwestern city of Chengdu, after being named as a goodwill ambassador by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) earlier this year, in March. Yeoh spent time with a pair of panda cub twins – UNDP’s first-ever official Animal Ambassadors, as they symbolise the world’s diminishing wildlife. Addressing the loss of biodiversity is one of the programme’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
