China’s President Xi Jinping arrived in Wellington on Thursday ahead of talks with New Zealand’s prime minister aimed at boosting ties between the two countries.
Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan were met by New Zealand officials with the traditional Maori Hongi greeting – pressing of noses and foreheads – before an impressive Haka welcome.
