Japan’s Emperor’s best wishes for 2013

Japan’s Emperor Akihito greeted tens of thousands of Japanese citizens and foreign visitors at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo to ring in the New Year with his annual message to the public. He took the occasion to express his sympathy for victims affected by the earthquake and tsunami disaster that hit northern Japan in March 2011.
