Several dozen activists braved the cold to gather in Paju, South Korea, a town bordering North Korea on Saturday (December 24) to release balloons into the North following the death of their leader, Kim Jong-il. Each balloon carried propaganda leaflets and boxes holding hundreds of pairs of socks.
