Police detonated stun grenades and fired water canons at hundreds of stone-throwing supporters of the leader of South Africa’s ruling party youth league. The protesters gathered near the African National Congress headquarters in central Johannesburg ahead of a disciplinary hearing for ANC (African National Congress) youth leader Julius Malema.
