Italy: Protests against high-speed train

Activists clashed with police after blocking a highway in Chiomonte, northern Italy. Police in riot gear were at the scene to escort cranes and other vehicles towards the entrance to a tunnel where work is due to start on the Italian part of the high-speed railway line linking Turin with Lyon (France).
