India : Chin refugees demonstration to mark World Refugee Day

Hundreds of ethnic Chin refugees from Myanmar held a demonstration in the Indian capital to mark World Refugee Day, as the UN refugee chief urged all countries to keep their borders open and offer protection to people fleeing violence. The Chin people claimed they were subjected to religious persecution and human rights violations by the country’s military regime and forced to flee to India.
