In Europe more than one in two women have experienced sexual harassment at least once since the age of 15.

In Europe more than one in two women have experienced sexual harassment at least once since the age of 15. This includes unwelcome hugging, touching, sexually suggestive comments, sexually explicit emails or text messages among other things. And the more educated or professionally accomplished a woman is, the more likely she is to be sexually harassed.

In fact, a woman in Europe is almost twice as likely to be sexually harassed if she holds a university degree or if she’s a senior manager. It’s a man’s world at the top of the social ladder.

In this episode of Insiders, we visit France,Europe’s worst offender for sexual harassment at work; and we travel to Portugal where authorities have criminalised catcalling in a bid to crackdown on sexual harassment on the streets.
