Created by the non-profit organization Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM), the Fairmined Initiative is a label that certifies gold from empowered responsible artisanal and small-scale mining organizations. The standard includes formal and legal mining operations, environmental protection, labor conditions, traceability of Fairmined minerals, and socio-economic development. It seduced many fine jewellery brands worldwide as you can see on this map compiling all the certified fairmined jeweller.
