The DC comic hero Batman created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane is now made of plastic bricks and voiced by Will Arnett.

“Initially when directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller told me that they were going to make the Lego Movie I was confused because I thought ‘What is that going to be? Is it just a commercial for Lego?’ and of course it wasn’t, they had a really great story in mind.”

The actor continues:
“He is a billionaire and he’s handsome and he has got this great house and he’s got all these great gadgets, why is he so upset? And it really made us laugh, we were thinking: ‘What is it about his life that he feels is incomplete, we should get into that.”

The movie is out in Europe this month.
