Danish thriller ““A Second Chance”“::http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3305316/ stars “Game of Thrones” actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

He plays Andreas, a detective who witnesses a case of child neglect that shakes him to the core and prompts him to cross a line he would never have imagined crossing.

“I was really moved by the story and about those kind of questions that are asked of us – ‘How far can you go?’ and all those basic questions. ‘Does the end justify the means?’ And ‘Is it OK if you do something if your intentions are noble? Does that give you any credit? All those things,” says Coster-Waldau.

These dilemmas hit Andreas as he struggles to balance his job with his own family life.

The film was directed by Susanne Bier, whose previous drama “In a Better World” earned her both a Golden Globe and an Oscar in 2011.

“Susanne is one of the best directors I’ve worked with because I really – she’s focused on the characters, that’s all she cares about and it’s about capturing those moments of honesty,” Coster-Waldau says.

““A Second Chance”“:http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/a-second-chance-en-chance-730737 was screened first in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. The film is releasing worldwide now.
