Paris:Thousands take part in anti-police brutality march

Thousands of protesters have marched through the streets of central Paris in a demonstration against police brutality.

The rally was largely peaceful despite a face-off between some protesters and riot police who responded with tear gas.

The protest was the last in a series of demonstrations sparked by the alleged rape of a young man by members of a night police brigade in a Paris suburb in early February.
