At the Agadez checkpoint in central Niger every week, convoys travel back and forth through the Sahara desert. It’s a thousand kilometer drive, and a five day long ride.

The exhausted passengers, are Nigerien workers, fleeing the upsurge of violence in Libya, but also migrants from other western African countries, who have come to seek help in Niger. Euronews’s Valérie Gauriat reports from the migration frontline for Good Morning Europe.
