A diver supporting the rescue operation of a Thai football team trapped in a flooded cave said on Wednesday that the boys had been practicing wearing diving masks and breathing.

Claus Rasmusen, a certified cave diving instructor based in Thailand, who has been helping the Thai SEAL team with logistics, said it took the divers five hours to reach the boys from the cave entrance.

The boys, aged 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old coach went missing when floodwaters trapped them after they entered the Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai province on June 23.
