(Reuters) - South Korea will be the top seed when it hosts the UL International Crown, while defending champions Team USA will be seeded second when the global match-play competition tees off in October, the LPGA said on Monday.

Park In-bee, Ryu So-yeon, Park Sung-hyun and Kim In-kyung will represent South Korea while Team USA will send Lexi Thompson, Jessica Korda, Cristie Kerr and Michelle Wie to the event, which is being held outside the United States for the first time.

The remaining six countries that have qualified to compete at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon City, in order of seeding, are Japan, England, Australia, Thailand, Sweden and Chinese Taipei.

"It's such an honor to represent your country at a tournament," said Park Sung-hyun, who edged Ryu to win the Women's PGA Championship outside Chicago on Sunday.

"Since it's going to be in Korea, more than it being pressure, I think we're going to have so much support from the crowds."

"I don't think we'll have pressure ... it'll give us more confidence and it's going to be really fun."
