This is the moment India launched it's 100th satellite. It was launched from Sriharikota in southern Andhra, Pradesh state.

It's been trying to market itself as a low-cost provider of satellites in Space - 31 of those launched this year are for foreign customers.

India's Space programme has a budget of around $4 billion and it's trying to expand into a growing global market. The global space market is worth around $300 billion.

The latest satellites will be used by Indian security services to oversee military operations in neighboring countries, as well as to improve boarder surveillance.
