Chrispin has been hospitalized at the Kananaga General Hospital for months. Like many, his injury got infected before he could be assisted. He is waiting for a second skin transplant, in the meantime he is assisted by the physiotherapists trained by the NGO Handicap International, financed by the EU Humanitarian Aid office.

“I was riding my bike and I came across the militia,” explained Chrispin. “They took everything I had, the telephone, the money, even the bicycle. I started running away from them, but I fell in a well and inside there was a log that perforated my leg”.
