It certainly brings a new definition to the idea of Electro.

This could be the future of clubbing.... Robots have been performing tasks like banking and food preperation for years.

Yet in this club in the Czech Republic this could be a world first - a robotic DJ picking the songs.

It's shaped like a pincer and can select CD's then place them in one of three music players.

The club owner says his robot is unique. He tasked a robotics firm to come up with a machine that could select and play music. The robot is even able to mix songs on a Adam Lipsansky, 31 said;

"It's just like a human DJ, the only thing is he is unable to react to people, to how they are behaving."

But were the punters impressed? When asked clubbers had mixed opinions.

One man, a student from Germany, when asked said;

"The robot is very good. I never thought that is possible like this."

A tourist from Mexico, Marcia Lopes, 24.  MARCIA LOPES said;

"I don't like the robot because it can't feel what the people want to dance to. There is no emotion behind the music. When there is a real person, they know, what the vibe is like."

For now the robot is staying and will share the decks with a human counterpart.

For those willing to see if the newest addition to the club's line up is any good they can head to Karlovy Lazne in the Czech capital of Prague.
