Palestinians have clashed with Israeli security forces for a fourth straight day since Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Stone throwing and burning tires were met with tear gas from Israeli soldiers.

The violence at flash points across the Palestinian territories has claimed the lives of four Palestinians and injured more than 1000 more according to Palestinian medical sources.

An Israeli security guard was reportedly stabbed at Jerusalem's main bus station on Sunday.

In Nablus on the West bank protesters carried Palestinian flags and a banner which read "Jerusalem is Arab and the capital of the Palestinian State".

Along Israel's tense frontier with the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said it had destroyed what it described as a "significant" cross border attack tunnel dug by the enclave's dominant Islamist group Hamas.
