Everton sack Ronald Koeman and seek new manager after disasterous start to season

Sixteen months ago hopes were high at Everton football club that new manager Ronald Koeman would bring some Dutch total football savvy to the Merseyside outfit, but now just nine games into
the new season he is out, sacked after only two wins in the club’s worst start to a season in more than a decade.

Everton splashed a bundle of money in recruiting new players during his reign, but the team has looked disjointed, stumbling to several heavy defeats, and looks almost certain to crash out of the Europa league in the group stages.
