The curtain has come down on the inaugural edition of the El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt. A wealth of international stars were present for the closing event, which also saw several prizes awarded. American actor Forest Whitaker was awarded a lifetime achievement award, while the documentary ‘Soufra’ by Thomas Morgan took Best Arab Feature Documentary as well as the ‘Cinema for Humanity’ prize.
