Ryanair has announced more than 400,000 new flight cancellations as pilot crisis deepens.

Ryanair is piling on the misery for its long-suffering customers with the announcement of 400,000 new flight cancellations, from November to March next year.

They come on top of the over 300,000 cancellations announced earlier this month after back office errors meant pilot rostering could not keep pace with demand for flights.

Even offers of big bonuses, and threats of forcing pilots to fly during days off did not reverse the trend of personnel leaving the company in droves for rival airlines.

The non-unionised Ryanair has seen workers begin to organise during this crisis, the worst in Europe’s biggest airline’s history.
