Taylor Swift has won a court case against an ex-radio DJ she said groped her bare bottom at a photo shoot.
The singer says she will now make donations to organisations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.
She was awarded the symbolic $1 in damages she had sought in a case that made headlines far beyond the court in Denver, Colorado.
Ironically the legal action had been initiated by DJ David Mueller, 55, who lost his job after the groping claims he said were false.
“I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this,” 27-year-old Swift said in a statement released immediately following the verdicts on Monday.
“My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard,” she said.
She is so incredible.
