The local commissioner in Eda, Sweden, Mr Hans Nilsson, had long dreamt of catching a white moose on film and on Thursday (10 August) luck came his way.
He first saw the moose eating at a road ditch on Thursday. The day after he went looking for it with his camera and sure thing – there it was. Mr Nilsson says he was lucky and stayed 20 minutes with the moose as close as five meters from it. The moose didn’t seem to be afraid. This white moose has resided in West Värmland since it was born and is a well-known acquaintance for local residents.
