70 African migrants injured on razor wire after rushing border fence between Morocco and Ceuta

About 70 African migrants were injured on razor wire after about a group of 200 rushed the border fence between Morocco and the Spanish north African territory of Ceuta.

Sixty managed to get into the Spanish enclave. Fourteen of those were hospitalised for their injuries.

The others ran through the streets shouting “freedom!” to celebrate a successful journey into the European Union.

Ceuta, and Spain’s other enclave, Melilla, are the EU’s only land borders with Africa, making them a target for those hoping to reach Europe.
