A minute’s silence has been held across the UK to honour the victims of the Grenfell Tower Fire.

Distraught firefighters joined the grieving public in a poignant show of unity and emotion.

Those who attended the blaze expressed shock at the speed of what happened.

Lucy Lucy Masoud is from the fire brigade union: “For something to spread this quickly and this dangerously , something has gone seriously wrong, which is what we have seen here.”

At least 79 people died in the horrific blaze.
