Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has paid tribute to the victims of a suicide bombing last week in his home town Manchester.

Gallagher ended his first solo concert on Tuesday with an acapella version of “Live Forever”, one of the biggest hits of the 90s group he fronted alongside brother Noel.
There was also a rapturous rendition and accompanying applause when the crowd chanted “Stand up for the 22.”

The singer will donate the proceeds from the performance to a fund supporting the victims.

Pop star Ariana Grande, whose show was targeted, will return to the city on Sunday to headline a star-studded benefit concert, including Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.
