At least six people have been arrested as part of a probe into migrants being taken from reception centres and put to work illegally in southern Italy.

At least six people have been arrested as part of a probe into migrants being taken from reception centres and put to work illegally in southern Italy.

It is the first operation to use new legislation which aims to combat exploitation in fields and orchards.

A manager and two staff members of a reception centre are among those suspected of involvement.
