Malala is granted honorary Canadian citizenship

Human rights education activist Malala Yousafzia has received honorary Canadian citizenship from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa.

The Nobel Laureate is only the sixth person to be granted the country’s honorary status.
