Fencing's number ones take gold at the Seoul Grand Prix

Double Olympic champion and world number one Yana Egorian convincingly won the women’s sabre final in the International Fencing Federation’s Seoul Grand Prix.

She beat Hungarian Anna Marton 15-12 to take her third Grand Prix title.

And it was her second gold in a Seoul Grand Prix – the third came in a World Cup stage in Orleans.

Originally born in Armenia she moved to Russia when she was six.

The world’s number one also took gold in the men’s sabre.

Korea’s Jungkwhan Kim beat France’s Vincent Anstett 15 -12.

With an Olympic gold medal from the London 2012 Games Kim has a fine fencing pedigree.

Seoul gathered together the very best international fencers with the men’s sabre event featuring 17 of the top 20 and eight of the current world’s top ten.
