Euronews spoke at Berlin’s ITB to Claudia González Farjas, Trade and Press Manager at the Marketing Department, Chilean Ministry of Tourism about her country’s major tourism markets – the most important one being nowadays neighboring Argentina.
“Last year, we have received more than 5 million tourists arriving in the country. And that is an increase of over 26 per cent in comparison to last year, 2015. And the major market last year was Argentina, with almost 3 million of arrivals. In Europe for us, we saw an increase around 9 per cent. In Europe the main tourism market for us is Spain, followed by Germany, England, and Italy.”
