Champions League final to put Wales on the tourist map

Euronews spoke at Berlin’s ITB to Rob Lewis Jones, Media Relations Executive at Visit Wales, about how his country can profit from hosting this year’s UEFA Champions League final in Cardiff.

“As you can see behind me, the Champions League will be happening up in June, and it is taking place in Cardiff, our capital city. We hope to bring in a vast amount of tourists then, and also put Wales on the map in terms of the coverage that we will get through this sporting event. And that it will also encourage people that are not sports-minded to come and visit Wales once they see our fantastic array of scenery and culture that we have to offer.”
