Jose Mourinho is not happy about the state of the pitch but the game is going ahead nonetheless as Manchester United make the trip to Rostov for the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.

It could prove a tricky tie for the 20-times English topflight champions.

The Russian side have claimed major scalps at their Stadion Olimp 2 this season notably Bayern Munich in the group stage of the competition in November.

United boss Mourinho confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be in the squad taking the 2,100 mile trip to face Rostov, who are fifth in the Russian league and have lost at home just once in their last seven European games.

Henrikk Mkhitaryan is available again for United after a hamstring injury while defender Eric Bailly will miss the tie through suspension.

Whatever the side Mourinho picks, United remain favourites to come away from Russia with a first leg win having lost just once in their last 27 games in all competitions.
