A Melbourne man ensured an unforgettable proposal for his girlfriend by recreating the moment they had first met on a crowded commuter train.

Ryan enlisted the help of the train’s conductor to ensure that everyone onboard was aware of the surprise he had planned for his intended, Hannah.

In footage posted to Metro Trains Melbourne’s Twitter page, a conductor can be heard announcing: “We have two of our regular commuters with us today. Hannah and Ryan first met on the train about ten years ago and Ryan has a special question he’d like to ask Hannah.”

After initially appearing startled, Hannah soon replied with a resounding ‘yes’, which prompted cheers and claps from other commuters around them.
