Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has kept her word over a Twitter bet to go on a date with a 20-year-old student.
Bouchard, 22, tweeted her conviction the Atlanta Falcons – leading 21-0 at the time – were going to win the US Super Bowl final.
So when John Goehrke bet her a date his team, the New England Patriots, were going to triumph, she quickly accepted.
The Patriots went on to mount an incredible comeback to win in the dying minutes.
But Bouchard has kept her word, tweeting a picture of her on the blind date at a New York basketball game.
Bouchard was a rising star in 2014 when she reached the Wimbledon final, but has slipped to 45th in the latest women’s rankings.
