A British Airways plane was filmed struggling to land in windy conditions on Thursday (February 2) as it came in to Bilbao airport in Spain’s Basque Country.
Spain has issued a red alert along its northern Galician coast as a fierce storm bringing rain, high winds and waves of up to 11 metres hit northerly regions of the country.
Wind speeds had been expected to exceed 100 kilometres an hour during the day.
