William Salice the brains behind the Kinder Surprise chocolate egg hugely popular with children and big kids has died at 83.
He was undergoing treatment for a stroke in an Italian hospital when he passed away.
He always denied he invented the product giving that honour to Michele Ferrero of the famed Ferrero food group.
Salice said “the inventor is Ferrero, I was just the material executor.”
After the sale of billions of eggs Salice invested his retirement money into the ‘Color Your Life Campus’ a foundation dedicated to help young people realise their potential.
