The typhoon that spoiled Christmas Day in parts of the Philippines has killed at least six people, officials say.

Typhoon Nock-Ten also displaced more than 380,000 people in Asia’s largest Catholic nation. Dozens of flights were cancelled, and ferries barred from sailing, leaving thousands more stranded.

The storm was one of the strongest since Typhoon Haiyan left more than seven thousand people dead or missing and displaced over 5 million in 2014.
