About 200 people gathered on Wednesday near Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin to sing for peace and against terror after Monday night’s truck attack on a Christmas market in the city.

The church’s choir and another from elsewhere in Berlin came together with local residents and refugees to commemorate the victims of the attack.

They sang ‘We Are the World’ while holding a banner which read ‘You will not divide us’.

It comes as the clean-up operation got underway at the market, ahead of its re-opening.
