Kjetil Jansrud makes a super start to World Cup downhill

<p>It was a super Saturday for Norway and Kjetil Jansrud.</p> <p>The 31 year old made it two wins in two days on the slopes of Val D’Isere, France.</p> <p>Jansrud put his rivals on alert, letting them know that he means business. </p> <p>On Friday he won the Super G.<br /> On Saturday he took the downhill. </p> <p>Jansrud was unsurprisingly pleased with his start to the season. </p> <p>“It’s an amazing beginning,” he said. “You never know, but I hoped for sure for a start like this.” </p> <p>His sterling performance left closest rival Peter Fill in the shade. For the second straight day, Norway and Italy dominated the podium. </p> <p>The Italian came home 0.26 seconds behind Jansrud and made his feelings clear. </p> <p>Aksel Lund Svindal completed his comeback after being out of the game for 10 months with a serious knee injury by coming home third. The Norwegian was runner-up in the Super G but came home 0.33 behind his compatriot. Only the top three came home in under two minutes</p>
