Double joy for Slovenia's Ilka Stuhec in Lake Louise downhill

Slovenia’s Ilka Stuhec notched up her second downhill win of the weekend at Lake Louise, Alberta.

The 26 year old chalked up her second victory of her career on the world circuit with a time of 1 min 24.95 sec on a descent shortened due to the last few hours of snowfall.

The Slovenian beat Switzerland’s Lara Gut into second place by 11/100th of a second. Gut the reigning world champion, who left Killington, USA last weekend without scoring a single point after her giant fall, returned to second place in the overall World Cup standings.

Edit Miklos took bronze. The 17 year old is the first from Hungary ever to claim a podium spot on the downhill.
