And also...The Donald, the Presidency and other tall stories

<p><em>Every Friday journalists from euronews’ various language teams choose a selection of stories from Europe and beyond which did not reach the international headlines</em></p> <h3>Why your friends are posting black squares on Instagram</h3> <p>Early on US election day, Instagram was flooded with happy “I voted” selfies and messages of hope. But in the immediate aftermath of Donald Trump’s stunning election as the 45th president of the United States, the tone on the social network changed. Many users posted black photos, most without captions, seemingly at a loss for words.</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-version="7" style=" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);"><div style="padding:8px;"> <div style=" background:#F8F8F8; line-height:0; margin-top:40px; padding:50.0% 0; text-align:center; width:100%;"> <div style=" background:url(data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAACwAAAAsCAMAAAApWqozAAAABGdBTUEAALGPC/xhBQAAAAFzUkdCAK7OHOkAAAAMUExURczMzPf399fX1+bm5mzY9AMAAADiSURBVDjLvZXbEsMgCES5/P8/t9FuRVCRmU73JWlzosgSIIZURCjo/ad+EQJJB4Hv8BFt+IDpQoCx1wjOSBFhh2XssxEIYn3ulI/6MNReE07UIWJEv8UEOWDS88LY97kqyTliJKKtuYBbruAyVh5wOHiXmpi5we58Ek028czwyuQdLKPG1Bkb4NnM+VeAnfHqn1k4+GPT6uGQcvu2h2OVuIf/gWUFyy8OWEpdyZSa3aVCqpVoVvzZZ2VTnn2wU8qzVjDDetO90GSy9mVLqtgYSy231MxrY6I2gGqjrTY0L8fxCxfCBbhWrsYYAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC); display:block; height:44px; margin:0 auto -44px; position:relative; top:-22px; width:44px;"></div></div> <p style=" margin:8px 0 0 0; padding:0 4px;"> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BMlPHUQgUkj/" style=" color:#000; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; font-style:normal; font-weight:normal; line-height:17px; text-decoration:none; word-wrap:break-word;" target="_blank">I can't right now.</a></p> <p style=" color:#c9c8cd; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; line-height:17px; margin-bottom:0; margin-top:8px; overflow:hidden; padding:8px 0 7px; text-align:center; text-overflow:ellipsis; white-space:nowrap;">Une photo publiée par Ryan Boswell (@ryanboswell) le <time style=" font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; line-height:17px;" datetime="2016-11-09T07:56:57+00:00">8 Nov. 2016 à 23h56 <span class="caps">PST</span></time></p></div></blockquote> <script async defer src="//platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js"></script> <ul> <li><a href="http://fusion.net/story/368297/instagram-users-shock-black-trump-wins/">Source</a></li> </ul> <hr> <h3>Swedes offer ‘Great Trump Escape’</h3> <p>A Swedish company which gave Americans the chance to leave the US should Donald Trump become president has told The Local that it never expected it would ever open the hundreds of applications they received.</p> <p>On Monday, advertising agency Round & Round explained that constant discussion over the US election in their office led to them creating the “Great Trump Escape” website, which allowed people to register portfolios for future positions at the company, on the condition that the files would only be opened if Trump won the election.</p> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="fr"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hundreds of U.S. Creatives Seek 'The Great Trump Escape' in Sweden <a href="https://t.co/xZP0L9eGQ9">https://t.co/xZP0L9eGQ9</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/advertising?src=hash">#advertising</a></p>— Top Ads (@topadsapp) <a href="https://twitter.com/topadsapp/status/796504961370771458">10 novembre 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <ul> <li><a href="http://www.thelocal.se/20161110/hundreds-applied-to-flee-us-in-swedish-great-trump-escape">Source</a></li> </ul> <hr> <h3>Snoop Dogg considers going to Toronto after Trump’s win</h3> <p>California rapper Snoop Dogg hit up Drake for leads on a Toronto crib after Donald Trump was elected U.S. president Tuesday night.
