Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence has had a narrow escape after his plane slid off the runway while landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

Though nobody was hurt in the incident, the jet carrying Donald Trump’s running mate ended up on grass.

Live TV footage showed the Indiana Governor talking to firefighters on the ran soaked runway.

Expressing his gratitude that everyone on aboard the plane was safe, Pence pledged to hit the campaign trail again on Friday.
