At 87, film director Alejandro Jodorowsky shows no signs of slowing down and he has offered us a marvelous new work full of life and emotion, ‘Poesia sin fin’. It tells the tale of what it was like for the young Chilean film director living in 1940s and 50s Santiago.
From his teenage years “Alejandrito” Jodorowsky knows he wants to be a poet, against the wishes of his father. Aged 20 he cuts off his ties with his family and plunges into the capital’s bohemian lifestyle.
The director mixes fantasy, eroticism and violence to portray a troubled period in Chile’s political history.
Alejandro Jodorowsky is a director, writer, actor, mime artist and cartoonist, an artistic richness that can be seen on screen throughout this autobiographical work.
‘Poesia sin fin’ is a hymn to life and love, at once a tearjerker and rib-tickler.
