Competitors from all over the world were made to dig deep as they took on the infamous Jungle Marathon, a gruelling 254km trek through the Brazilian rainforest.

Taking on swamps, water crossings and steep climbs, as well as dealing with the humidity and treacherous terrain provided by the jungle, the runners had to contend with conditions like nowhere else on earth.

Australia’s Andy Turner held his nerve to clinch the men’s event whilst Isadora Soares reigned supreme in the women’s event.
