An angry punch-up between two Ukrainian MPs has been captured on video.
ADVERTISEMENTTwo Ukranian lawmakers came to blows in parliament today (November 14).
Yuriy Boyko, of the centre-left Opposition Bloc, punched Oleg Lyashko in the face after the left-wing Radical Party member purportedly accused him of being a “Kremlin agent”.
After the pair were calmed and Lyashko continued to speak following their first altercation, Boyko saw red once again and was subsequently asked to leave the chamber.
Ukrainian politicians have form for fighting. Volodymyr Parasyuk and Olegsandr Vilkul were recorded fighting in the studios of TV channel 122 Ukraine soon after an on-air appearance. Parasyuk is then seen kicking and keying the bonnet of a car used by Vilkul.
Volodymyr Parasyuk was at the centre of the action again in June this year, trying to snatch the microphone of Dmitri Kolesnikov, which sparked a mass brawl in the Ukrainian parliament.
There was a brutal one-on-one between Yegor Sobolev and Vadim Ivchenko in the corridors of parliament in February, 2015.
Also in 2014 after a politician took issue with criticism of Russia over the MH17 plane crash and accused Kyiv of waging war on Ukrainian people.
And a debate over a controversial langauge bill got physical in May 2012, leading to another bloody clash of MPs.
