It started as a cough, it became a stumble and now it’s all over social media. Whether you prefer hashtag #HillarysHealth or #PneumoniaGate, the world is talking and mostly speculating about the Democratic presidential nominee’s wellbeing.
After a fainting spell at the 9/11 memorial service on Sunday, she told the media she has pneumonia, a swelling of the tissue of the lungs, usually caused by a bacterial infection. It is treatable with antibiotics, rest and drinking fluids.
Despite the explanation and the apparent mildness of her illness, conspiracies and speculation abound.
