Top seed Novak Djokovic moved into the semi-finals of the US Open after his opponent Jo-Wilfried Tsonga retired with injury.

Djokovic was leading 6-3 6-2 at the time.

Djokovic has had an easy ride so far a walkover in the round 2, a retirement in the third round and now a second retirement in the quarter-final.
