Felipe Massa has announced he will retire at the conclusion of the current Formula One season which will bring an end to a fine career that has spanned 14 years.
The 35 year old began his F1 career with Sauber in 2002, before joining Ferrari four years later.
He finishing third in the 2006 drivers’ championship and missed out on the title by a single point to Lewis Hamilton in 2008.
In 2014 Massa moved to Williams where he will now finish his career
Ahead of this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix Massa has amassed 11 race wins, 41 podium finishes and 16 pole positions.
